2023 was a GREAT year for Tim, he did all he wanted and said his goodbyes. He had no regrets. Thank you for visiting our garden. We love to share our progress, it’s a labor of love. 2023 has been our “silver linings” garden because Tim, who is my partner in this creation was dx with esophageal cancer on Dec 27, 2022. We’ve worked on this garden for the past decade and we love the garden gave us a hug this year. Although not the most bountiful it has shown up for us. The images to the right are from over the years and will include this year too.

Last night, my best friend embarked on his greatest adventure yet, leaving behind a world that was brighter with him in it. Though he journeys ahead without me, our paths will cross again. He left us peacefully, from the comfort of his home. Godspeed, my love. Until we meet again, I’ll hold you close in every memory and see you soon in every dream.

Moonlight whispers soft,
In the night, a star falls, hushed—
Love endures, unlost.

My deepest thanks to EVERYONE who’s reached out with condolences and expressions of love during this difficult time. Your kindness and support have been a source of immense comfort to me, reminding me of the wonderful community of beautiful souls I’m surrounded by and a part of.

Every person has a story, a unique journey that touches lives in ways we often cannot fully comprehend. Tim’s story, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit, has left an indelible mark on all who knew him. As we prepare to celebrate his life, we honor not just the moments we shared but the profound impact of his story.

I’m currently working on a memorial video for Tim’s Celebration of Life, that will take place on April 6th in Wisconsin. Additionally, we’ll gather again this July in our garden, a place of joy and shared dreams, to spread some of Tim’s ashes. This special moment, along with the memorial video, will be shared on myBackyardHomestead.com, a project that has been a labor of love for both of us over the last decade.

Your continued support and presence, in whatever form it takes, are truly appreciated as we prepare to celebrate and remember the extraordinary life and spirit of Tim, and the stories that made him the remarkable person we loved.

Godspeed, my love. Until we meet again, I’ll hold you close in every memory and see you soon in every dream.Â
