Mission & values
Built with intention
myBackyardHomestead is a small, intentional homestead and micro-farm in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado.
What began as a personal journey toward growing food and building resilience has become a local virtual farmstand serving our community with seasonal plants, useful resources, and a stronger connection to where food comes from.
This is not large-scale agriculture. It’s a right-sized farm designed to build soil, grow responsibly, and keep food systems local. Availability is seasonal, quantities are limited, and many offerings are available by presale.

How it works
One homestead, three connected purposes
1
The homestead
Where we grow, learn, experiment, and build resilience one useful season at a time.
2
The micro-farm
Where that knowledge becomes a small, intentional growing operation shaped by mountain conditions.
3
The virtual farmstand
Where neighbors can find seasonal plants, local goods, workshops, and practical digital resources.
